A visit to the summit of Mount Wellington is an absolute must for anyone visiting Hobart - the landscape at the summit is almost like another planet, and the view of Hobart and surrounding areas is stunning. If you don’t have your own transport, then the best way to see Mount Wellington is to take the 2 hour return bus tour from the Brooke Street Pier in Hobart. Tours operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - and online bookings are available from only $42. This is a excellent tour to take as soon as you get to Hobart - the view from the observation shelter is a great way to see where all the different landmarks of Hobart are located. Make sure you take warm clothes!
