Salamanca Market

Salamanca Place is one of the most picturesque areas of Hobart, and the Salamanca Market is one thing you absolutely can't miss if you're in Hobart on a Saturday. The Salamanca Market is held every Saturday (regardless of the weather) and features hundreds of stalls selling crafts, food, books, CDs, vinyl records, clothing, odds and ends, and Tasmania’s famous local produce. There's plenty of entertainment for everyone - the fantastic City of Hobart Highland Pipe Band perform regularly at the Salamanca Market, along with various street performers and musicians providing a friendly down to earth atmosphere.
